Challenge:
When Sony Playstation and TBWA\Chiat\Day needed a set of engaging Rich Media online banners to promote the launch of the innovative Buzz! game series, they called upon our team to collaborate and execute these "mini-games" banners. To fully capture the essence and mimic the gameplay of these games, we stayed true to the originals and recreate a series of mini-games such as the "Bubble Bath" or the "Rocket Riders" which are available on the Playstation console game. To further make them more engaging, we tied all these banners with a high-score system, mostly for fan's bragging rights!
Result:
These mini-game banners were a big hit no matter where they live: IGN.com, RottenTomatoes.com, Gamespot.com and more. Four (4) were created to support the launch of Buzz! Junior - Jungle Party while three (3) were to promote the launch of Buzz! The Mega Quiz. True-to-console mini-games along with the "viral" high score system, these banners attracted thousands of users and an astounding 2+ minutes of interaction time for each banner.
