Challenge:

In anticipation of the Viva Piñata launch on the Xbox 360 platform, a fury of pre-release advertising campaigns were created across multiple digital platforms. Partnering with AKQA, we helped create a series of Rich Media banners with bright, colorful visuals and animated characters intended to appeal to children and more casual gamers. Playing off the popular Dance Dance Revolution game, we took the main Viva Piñata character, Hudson the Horstachio and made him the star of a "Dance-Off" competition.

Result:

Six (6) different standard animated and expandable banners were created in partnership with AKQA and were launched all around the web including IGN.com, RottenTomatoes.com and more. Featuring all the beloved characters and making Hudson Horstachio the star, users engaged with the banners by using their keyboards and matching the keys and arrows with what's on screen to make Hudson get into his groove and dance his butt off! Widely considered as one of the best games of the year, the sales started off slowly but quickly gained a following. We want to think our fun, engaging ad banners had something to do with it.
