When The Marketing Arm, a long-standing T1M partner agency came to us on behalf of client, AT&T, we were happy to oblige. The challenge they presented started with the need to create a digital experience that would increase participation at three enterprise network conferences hosted by Fortune magazine. We were tasked with producing a digital solution that needed to deliver comprehensive information and be easy to update before and during the conferences. The1stMovement team proposed that AT&T create conference mobile-friendly sites, a solution that drove participants to smartphones for everything from registration to daily conference news.


Results

The multi-page mobile websites for Fortune Brainstorm Green, Fortune Tech and Fortune Powerful Women's Summit gave participants access to all the information typically found in printed conference materials – and more because details were delivered digitally. The sites included the conference description, speaker bios with photos, a graphical hotel map with zoom and drag, schedules and search capability.

Social media was also integrated into the sites. Tweets were assigned a hashtag and aggregated in a Twitter chatroom. An online poll allowed attendees to vote on mobile devices by sending SMS to a pre-defined number and then view real-time results online. Attendees at one conference even received information in real time, including minute-to-minute updates on polling questions, schedule changes, tweets and blogs.

90% of conference attendees used iPhones and other mobile devices during the events to get information and interact.
